I personally didn't have a problem with your thread, OP, but I can see why some didn't care for the insinuation--as it may have been viewed as having a bit of negativity.

Their work is cut out for them, no doubt about that, but it is certainly possible. One game at a time...a win vs HOU and the odds obviously shoot up drastically.

We very well may lose one of the next two and finish 12-4, and if that happens that is just fine too considering the circumstances regarding their lousy start. We'll know a lot more about this team in the next couple of weeks.

Bet on it. The way this team is demolishing a very, very good Houston team, bet on it. Does anyone think they shouldn't be able to beat San Francisco? And if they win next week, @Jacksonville and Miami?

The Pats under Brady and Belichick have ended the season on a winning streak of 6 or more games 6 out 5 out of 10 seasons so far:

- 2001: started 5-5, then won 6 in a row to finish 11-5 and win the AFC East and get the #2 seed, then 3 more to win the SB
- 2003: started 2-2, then won 12 in a row to finish 14-2 and get the #1 seed, then 3 more to win the SB
- 2007: won 16 in a row and then 2 in the playoffs before losing in the SB
- 2010: started 6-2, then won 8 in a row to finish 14-2 and get the #1 seed before losing in the playoffs in the divisional round
- 2011: started 5-3, then won 8 in a row to finish 13-3 and get the #1 seed, then won 2 before losing in the SB

Has any team, QB or coach in history ever put together a more impressive 2nd half series of winning streaks?

I do think they can run the table, believed they could since the seahawks loss and still do now. San Francisco will be a lower scoring game like around 23-10 something like that, but I don't think SF can put up enough points to keep up with NE. Miami at home and Jacksonville on the road are games the Patriots should win. 13-3 seems likely and hopefully the Colts take at least 1 of 2 against Houston or Baltimore beats Denver and the Patriots can get the #1 seed.

It's a great win. Expected more out of Huston. We did our part but I'm not going to read too much out of this game because of how they played.

They're better than 7 points of offense.

I am very pleased with how our offense performed tonight, but it's hard to judge when an opponent's offense is that inept because it affects both sides of the ball. I thought their D gave them a chance with those 4 straight 3 and outs, then they gave up when they couldn't muster anything up.

I was cautiously optimistic that the Pats could run the table, but now I am about ready to bet the house. In fact, I think the Pats will be the #1 seed.

Wow, we destroy a 12-1 team, and your answer is it doesnt mater because they played bad? Wow, just wow.

Don't you think we might have had something to do with how they played? Sure, they made some mistakes, but we had something to do to it. The defense played terrific football - nice pressure, blitzing, batting passes down, good run support, strong man coverage, good tackling. No big plays. Really a strong all around game. Once our offense got up, it was a huge uphill struggle for the Texans given how well our defense was playing. If we can play defense like that, we're a SB champion, pure and simple.

C'mon! You spent this entire thread arguing that this game and next week's game are going to be brutal. And instead admitting you were wrong about this game, you are now arguing the the second ranked offense in the league isn't that good and inept?

Sorry, the Pats took it to their offense and the Texans couldn't respond. Schaub is a play action QB and you put him in a deep hole against a good team and he folds. That is what the Pats did to him tonight.

Oh yes, I was really impressed with how well we shut down Foster and Andre. 46 yards for Foster is impressive. Great job by our guys.

But I thought Schuab was very much off today.

Schaub wasn't off. Schaub performed exactly how Schaub performs when the other team takes away the play-action from him. Schaub had a typical Schaub performance when the other team shuts down Arian Foster.
