"......Bolden, however, isn't thinking that far ahead.
"Blinders. Not worry about last week," Bolden said when asked about the key to staying focused. "Last week happened, now we're getting ready for Denver, we have them coming here. Just forget about it. It was a game, see it, yeah, yay, yippie, everybody was happy. It happened, it's in the past, and now we're moving on......."
This kid is a good interview AND he gets the BB mentality. Can you even imagine a NY Jet saying something like that after putting up similar numbers?

Sometimes I think the Pats should just draft firsts and seconds and then sign tons of UDFA's! I'm just kidding, of course, but it's amazing how the Pats hit on an UDFA (sometimes two) nearly every year. If Bolden keeps this up, he and Ridley will be the AH/Gronk of the Pats RB's. Complete turn over and drastic improvement in 1-2 seasons.
With the NFL naming Chandler Jones as their defensive rookie of the month, I thought I'd take a look at the Great Blue North Draft site and see if he won their "Rookie of the Week" award.
Unfortunately he didn't win it, but it wasn't a complete disappointment.
Normally, when one thinks of New England piling up yards and points one thinks of Tom Brady and the Patriots’ dynamic passing attack. And normally, when one thinks of a rookie RB dominating an NFL game, one tends to think of an early round selection. Normal was out the window in Buffalo on the weekend, though, when the Patriots rallied from 14 points down early in the second half to a crushing 52-28 win over the Bills. Brady and company got in their shots, but the key to the Patriots comeback was a punishing ground game led by undrafted rookie free agent RB Brandon Bolden. Bolden, who played collegiate at Mississippi, ripped off 137 yards on the ground on just 16 carries that included a 27-yard TD run on the day to ignite the Patriots’ offense. That earned Bolden this week’s GBN Rookie of the Week award. Bolden, though, was the only Patriots’ rookie to contribute to the win as both DE Chandler Jones and LB Donta’ Hightower, New England’s two first-round picks this year, had sacks in the game."

Trying not to get too excited, as the Bills have really sucked up front this year. Still, Bolden and Ridley have created a nice punch, and the line is opening up huge holes for them. If they can continue to control things on the ground, it can mask some of the problems in the defensive backfield. Not all (nothing can do that except finding some safeties!), but certainly some.

My username is painful, but reminds me that in football and in life, nothing should EVER be assumed.

I love posts like this that spark a recollection challenge.
Let's assume that by 'undrafted rookie' let's take that to mean that they were drafted by us (or were we including players like Wes Welker).
So by my recollection we have.......
Brandon Bolden in 2012
Benjarvis Green-Ellis in 2008
Randall Gay in 2004
damn my memory is poor, help me out here guys
