Default Arizona DC says Brady tipping plays?

Was Tom Brady tipping New England's plays? - ArizonaSports.com

Quote:
We knew that whenever [Aaron] Hernandez was in tight, it was going to be a run, so we had a run check. But when he got hurt, it screwed that up because they went to three wide receivers. What they did, and we figured out real quick was, whenever Tom Brady was under the center, they were going to run the ball and whenever he was in the shotgun, they were going to pass the ball," Horton said. "We told our players 'hey, make the run check if Tom Brady's under the center. If he's in the gun, go to the pass check.'

Ray Horton, Arizona Cardinals Defensive Coordinator

"They handled it beautifully, and so we had dual calls that basically what we were telling them is we know when they're going to run and pass, so our players put us in the best position to win the game and they did a flawless job of managing the game of getting inside New England's head."

Too bad maverick and NEM aren't here to start their "McDaniels is too predictable" rants.

That's not Brady tipping the plays, it's just being predictable.

It was even easier last year. If they went no huddle and Brady went under center, it was almost always a zone run. It stuns me that no one dc has said this before.

funny because I remember at least a few drive killing runs from shotgun with woodhead. Im also pretty sure we ran some sort of PA from under center.

In 2011 if Brady was on the field, the Pats were probably going to throw it.

That theory worked especially well on the last drive when they let Woodhead walk into the endzone.

A little luck makes anyone look like a genius.

It really not even predictable, its tendency. Every team has down and distance, area of field, and formation tendencies.
If they had run every time from under center or passed every time from the gun, that would be meaningful.
More likely to _______ describes every offense in every scenario

The majority of teams in the NFL are tipping run with the quarterback under center and pass with him in the shotgun. This is nothing new.
