My favorite play of the fast was Hightower blowing up TWO blockers, and still being able to swing the rb down for a loss with one hand while reaching over the same two blockers.

Holy *****.

My reaction exactly, I was screaming at the TV HOLY S*%& did you just see that? reminded me of that adulies thomas sack on favre and a RB... only it was 3 people Hightower took out. Very Very VERY impressed with the 3 rooks on D.

That seems pretty reasonable to me, I'm still booking him to get very close to 100/1000 myself. It'll be interesting to see how this offense evolves, but it looks like Brady and Lloyd are only a page or two apart right now. When they get on the same page that combo should be terrifying for other team, and likely WW's life will get much easier.

Now that Welker Watch is ON....let me ask the board this question (I admit I missed some plays throughout the game).....did it seem Brady started forcing throws to WW just to get him involved?

No. But he almost stuck one in WW's facemask.

On a side note, Brady had a few passes that seemed quite a bit low. The oddity of it is they were nearly consecutive, but he ended up getting back in proper rythm/accuracy.

Love Wes, I wear his jersey every game day and based on what I saw he just didn't seem to be a big part of the game plan. Maybe scouting saw something the Titans were weak against. I'm sure there will come a game fairly soon where Welker gets 10 - 12 catchs for 150 yards it just wasn't this week.

I'm not sure whether I should be concerned about the lack of consistent production on every carry or be even more impressed by the explosiveness and how often he generates big yardage.
I agree. Ridley's production was a function of the effectiveness of his blocker's at the point of attack. If the line could open a gap or seal on the outside, he was excellent at breaking a tackle or making somebody miss. My sense was that he was very consistent when he had a shot at gaining some yards. Overall, the offensive line did a nice job yesterday.

Where was Salas? It might have to do with the fact that Salas missed the entire pre-season here. Give him time to practice and learn some of the details of the terminology and route options

Now if he's cut in the next couple days/weeks to bring back a zombie like Branch, THEN we can *****.

My favorite play of the game was when their receiver washington i believe got killed. I liked it for multiple reasons. First i was impressed by washington's ability to go up and get it. Second, was locker's throw. Then I realized this defensive play has been used by us maybe a million times over the last two years and this was the best i've seen it played. Mccourty passes his guy off and usually it is a big gain off in front of ihedibo or sanders but not this time. This time there was a safety in position to make the int if washington doesn't elevate high enough and the other safety was there to make a jarring hit and the icing on the cake was mayo coming in to sandwich him. Just a nice job on everyones part.

I hope Salas proves worth keeping; as I recall, the traded pick was not conditional.

People are going to over react everything Welker does or doesn't do for the rest of the year. There will be Welker threads on every topic from conspiracy theories about the Pats not giving him looks to force his numbers down, and thread declaring that he he hit the wall and is done. For good or bad he will be an never ending source of discussion here
