Re: The "interesting cuts from around the league" thread
Eagles cut Mike Kafka, so another veteran QB on the market for those teams in need of a 2nd/3rd string guy.
Not a surprise by any means, I think Foles and Edwards have both been outstanding this preseason. Foles has been so good that some Eagles fans I've discussed with think that Vick is just few bad performances away from giving Foles a shot at his job.

Well count me among those who were extremely impressed with him. He probably was the most effect QB the Pats faced this pre season

That was funny.....mean....very mean, but funny.
I was wondering about him just before I heard. He had the physical tools and had a good start. Something just didn't click on the mental side. He could stay with the people he was assigned to cover, he could just NEVER make the play on the ball...or at least not enough times. Too bad.
Still that 2009 draft still has a great chance to be better than average.
Chung has proven to be a good pick....when he's healthy.
Brace now seems to be coming into his own....now that he's healthy and a little late
Volmer has been an all pro....again the health issue
Edelman has been a valuable pick up
Pryor has been a tease because of his health.
A few misses around these guys, but over all when 4 years later you have 5 guys that are geared to make significant contributions to your team, isn't a bad draft
When you look at that draft in its entirety it was stung pretty badly by the injury bug
