Free agents are not made available in expansion drafts. There could be no such thing as a "FA drafted by London".

Based on the grueling nature of the schedule alone, any team in London would be at an immediate, instant disadvantage relative to the rest of the league. It would be much like the Saints during their 2005 season where they had no real home that year. They won 8 games in 2003 and 8 games in 2004. Then, without making any significant personnel changes, they only won 3 games in 2005.

Even a decent team with a lot of talent would fail in London. The fact that London would never be able to attract quality free agents would only enhance that.

There's also the language barrier. Anybody else here need to use closed captioning when watching Masterpiece Theater?

I think a guy like Osi Umenyiora wouldn't mind playing in London, he was born there. Also, Andrew Luck lived in England for a while, if he hits free agency without being locked up I don't think he would be adverse to playing there.

Kinda like when we would fly from MCAS Beaufort SC to MCAS Iwakuni Japan via Anchorage Alaska.

Nope, just need it for Benny Hill and Dr. Who re-runs.

no friggin' way...we already got an infestation of these "pip pip stiff upper lip and all that rubbish, wot!" whack jobs doing PGA commentary...is THIS what you want in your living room or den every Sunday??...some Colin Montgomery/Faldo/Feherty clones yakking nonstop about some converted rugby kicker making field goals?...they have overrun the American broadcasts of American PGA events like a blight of locusts...yesterday was an abomination at the end of the AT&T Open...I just wish Woods had bodyguards so they could shut up that nonstop sewer of bile Feherty calls a mouth....and BTW, Woods is the Fedex leader...NOT Rory McIlroy...but that doesn't stop these nitwits from gushing like 13 year old pimply faced little school girls every chance they get...I swear, Peter Oosterhuis must be on Rory's PR payroll the way he brings his name up at every turn of the conversation.

No....England is predominantly soccer land. Any English fans of American football would be far better served making the trip HERE to enjoy the game as it should be presented and played.

What I meant was a player whose was going to be a FA.

Of course the player would be under contract or the team putting them up for the expansion draft could not control their rights.

Nobody said otherwise.

The advantage London would have though is playing at home where the US opponent had to travel.

It would take time to win. Time to build a fanbase.

Money attracts.

European NFL players may want to live closer to home. Vollmer is from Germany.
