Back to the point: SanFran fans must be REALLY PISSED!!! Slapped with draft pick losses for a guy you didn't even get then watching this. This guy has got to go. If Brett winds up in Minn. this guy should be thrown out with the bath water.

Goodell is bad news for the NFL. Tags stuck with the status-quo for a reason:You don't contradict yourself and damage the product.
Would this be the Integrity that he has been preaching on since the beginning?

Yeah right.....

Exactly. Different rules for different teams. Talk about a lack of consistancy.

In this case I think it's different rules for different players, but your point still holds. Me thinks this ruling is a favor to Favre more than the Vikings - Goodell's made it clear that he's willing to take some, umm, unorthodox actions to ensure Favre plays for another year.

Agreed; Goodell should be punished for tampering; Treating Brett different than every other player who has requested reinstatement

Great point. Especially if he goes to the JEST. Can you say conflict of interest?

Oh c'mon! You mean to tell me Goodell really buys that they were merely discussing the weather that day?

"So how about them Patriots" - Goodell

"Cheaters" - Farve

"Say, thanks for that evidence that they were cheating by the way" - Goodell

"No problem" - Farve

OK. I'll wait untill someone here posts they felt that Commissioner Clouseau would have found the Vikes guilty of tampering with Lord Favre. Waiting...

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH
