I can easily see how Green Beans fans would consider ANY offense that scores lots of points a "gimmick."

Now the Jets are considering Green Bay VP Russ Ball as their GM.

Add Green Bay Packers vice president of football administration/player finance Russ Ball to growing list of NY Jets GM candidates - NY Daily News

If he gets the job, the headline might read:"Jets add Ball to Rex Ryan."

Ouch. I just hope Rex can fully recover by the draft.

You have to imagine that Rex tried to imitate the double-hurry-up offense at practice. More fun would be imagining him trying to run it in an actual game. There'd be buttfumbles, turnovers, and penalties galore.

God I miss the hilarity of the Jest already.

Already can't wait for training camp and their offseason moves.

The Patriots have been overachievers the past two years. It doesn't have the talent to compensate for injuries, and it wins so much because it puts in 99% effort in the regular season and plays with terrific schemes to mask its deficiencies.

But in the playoffs a good team at 99% will not beat emotional, talented teams that play at 100%. It's what happened against the Giants in 2011 and the Ravens in 2012.
