Mark Sanchez (5th)
Veron Gholston (6th)
Dewayne Robertson (4th)
James Farrior (8th, bust for Jets and stud for Steelers)
Keyshawn Johnson (1st overall)
Kyle Brady (9th)
Blair Thomas (2nd)
Dave Cadigan (8th)
Al Toon (10th)
Ken Hobart (10th)
Russell Carter (10th)
Freeman McNeil (3rd)
I went back to 1980 for their picks. McNeil and Toon were good picks. Keyshawn was a decent pick, but a disappointment for #1 overall. His value was more for what they got for him in trade over his production on the field. Thomas, Gholston, and Brady were disaster picks. The rest is a bunch of meh.

Who could forget once uber Jets fan Bob "Tollbooth" Jensen's description of Robertson as "a bowling ball with knives"?
Sometimes I miss the old USENET days.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH
