5,000 car parking garage, available to Pats fans on game day, comes with the deal.

I live in Foxboro and am all for it.

It will bring jobs, help with my property taxes, bring a classy convention center to the area, indoor/outdoor skating rink, pools, spas - what is wrong with any of this??

If I had a gambling problem, I dont think a casino 60 minutes closer than foxwoods would make a difference.

I don't live in Walpole anymore, but have a few friends who still live in S. Walpole near the stadium. Pretty easy way to get to the game without paying for parking...
The area where the casino is going to be built directly abuts their houses. If this thing goes through I hope everyone enjoys looking at my friends' backyards through the windows of their fancy hotel rooms! (or maybe it's the other way around?

I know a few people that live in that same area as well. They will be more affected than anyone in Foxboro and won't receive any of the incentives.

I've done it! It's great on rainy days when you get two cars and park in the corners of the building to wall in a nice little space with a view.

This is at BC football games, btw. Who knows what the rules would be at Wynn Foxborough, but BC is one of the most heavily restricted tailgating environments in the universe, for what it's worth.

Well, since you obviously didn't know, the owner of the NFL franchise who plays in Foxboro is (figuratively speaking) in bed with Wynn on this endeavor.

That'll never happen. For some reason I cannot comprehend, there is a federal law that states that only the state of Nevada can have sports gambling. Personally I don't see how in the world such a thing is Constitutional where the federal gov't can allow something in one state but forbid it in all the others, but that's another matter.

POST SCRIPT: When I say "sports gambling" I mean football, baseball, basketball, etc. Just about everyone is allowed things like horse racing, dog racing, jai alai, etc.

POST POST SCRIPT: Yes, I know Delaware (and I believe Washington state but don't quote me on that) have a certain amount of sports betting but believe me when I say they are very, VERY limited in what they are allowed to do. For all intents and purposes, Nevada is the only place you can wager on sporting contests legally in these United States.

I'm all in. It's a Wynn win

....and who cares if a few peoples backyards go from an ugly dirt parking lot to a 5 star resort. If the town votes this down they need to have their heads examined.

I didn't ask what Bob kraft has to do with the NFL I asked what Bob Kraft building a casino has to do with the NFL. Do you think the NFL has the power to tell bob kraft not to build a casino?
