Default A general point to recall about off-season speculation

The Pats almost never shoot down off-season rumors.

If an agent wants to build up his client's perceived value by saying that Pats are interested, the Pats don't shoot the story down.

If a GM wants to float a rumor that the Pats are interested in trading up for his pick, the Pats don't shoot that story down.

Consequently, rumors fly about the Pats' intentions. It happens every year.

How Belichickian...even when you pretend to tell them something make sure you tell them nothing.
