Pats TE coach Brian Ferentz leaves to rejoin his dad at Iowa
.....Brian Ferentz has left to rejoin his dad at Iowa as OL coach.
We've lost a terrific coach and a terrific coaching prospect. Hopefully he'll be back one day.

Creator of the Pats must draft Jason Verrett in 2014 no matter the cost fanclub.

Maybe they bring Nick Caserio down to work with GRONKnandez. After all, he didn't do too badly as WR coach in 2007. . . .

I think George Godsey is the one likely to step up, and we'll probably bring in another bright young thing from the College world, and from a program BB has ties with in some way.

Bummer. Enjoyed the recent ESPN article posted here about him.

Re: Pats TE coach Brian Ferentz leaves to rejoin his dad at Iowa
Congrats to him. He will either be back here as OC someday or HC at Iowa when his dad calls it quits. He's a lucky/deserving kid to be able to work in two programs that are the class of their respective leagues.
Re: Pats TE coach Brian Ferentz leaves to rejoin his dad at Iowa
Part of me wonders if, with McDaniels back in the fold, he figured that his ceiling in the organization was pretty low. Whether or not that's the case, though, good for him. The more ex-Pats coaches in the college ranks, the better.
Re: Pats TE coach Brian Ferentz leaves to rejoin his dad at Iowa
Pats and BB having their own personal insiders in the college ranks can't hurt.
Sometime I wonder what the Pats scouts
are thinking when they turn in their super can't miss player reports while BB and the crew are assembling their draft board.....

Re: Pats TE coach Brian Ferentz leaves to rejoin his dad at Iowa
I think he's back as the OC in a few years when McDaniels gets another shot at being a HC. From all accounts, he's got the potential to be a special coach.
Probably looking ahead too far, but how would he look as the next Head Coach of the New England Patriots in like 10 years?
