The play-off losses after lackluster performances against the Ravens and Jets were much harder for me to swallow than losing SB46. Of course, I was pissed, too, two week ago, but I couldn't fault our performance. We had our chances and were sooooo close to winning it, but were beaten by a very good Giants team that had a couple of breaks just when they needed it.

Being a fan of a local soccer team that is dead last in league standings because of extremely poor management that would even Matt Millen look like a genius, I can only appreciate the efforts of Mr Kraft and BB to have the Patriots be contenders every year. There's no other team in the NFL I would want to trade places with a this moment, and certainly not in the AFC. Colts are in rebuilding mode, Steelers are old and have cap problems, Ravens defense is getting old too. The Texans will probably become the biggest threat in the AFC the coming years, and I suspect the AFC East to become a bit tougher too, but I still like our chances and our future.

I just hope BB is half as pi$$ed off as I am...I think this team is four players away from devastating the AFC next season.
This thread and the other thread- Anyone in the same boat as me? have been most helpful.

I set up Google as my homepage instead of Yahoo. I'm still in a media blackout mostly.

It's nice to know that others feel the same way. I feel it would be easier to shake this off if there wasn't such mean-spirited glee, self-righteous media commentary, and gloating from the haters. The continuous ripping off the flesh like a jackal/kicking the organization, players, families in the face last week was brutal. It was like being run over by a bus over and over again. I don't remember or maybe I blocked out the 08' loss aftermath.

But it is what it is.

I hope the Pats use this loss, and the mocking as motivation to annihilate the NFL during the 2012 season and beyond.

I'm hopeful for the future. Especially the next 7 years. I feel like we've gone through our 7 years of famine, and it's now time to embark upon 7 years of prosperity.

I'm optimistic that the Pats will be in New Orleans where it all began winning their 4th Super Bowl next February.

*This will be us again* Just with different players*

BTW- As for the "Pats" fan turned Steelers fan- Steelers are old and rebuilding. Good luck with that. Especially since the tide seems to be turning with the Ravens/Steelers matchups.

I'm gonna make MY You Tube reply to this idiot...this will be a can't miss moment (well, maybe not)...

OK...I made a clip...bit I'm hesitant to put it up because it's so close to a "The Kid From Brooklyn" file...and I don't want to be accused of being a plagiarist by the legion of cognoscenti here at Pats fans...I must admit, though, it's AT LEAST as stupid as that mutt's real farewell speech...

What a whiny BEYOTCH.

Isn't it a shame that you don't have to apply for Membership to a Fan Base??

The Steelers would toss this pathetic low life out on his @$$.

And then, of course, he'd come crawling back to OUR door, all contrite.

And we'd spit on him.

And WORSE.
