Default hey media get off Brady and Welkers back...

its very hard to ignore the noise... Brady is a jim kelly now, he is in decline blah blah blah... look i thought tom brady played horrible in the afc title game, but in the superbowl.. i think the saftey was a horrible call... he was on fire before he hurt his left shoulder and still came a hail mary from winning the game... if some pats fans dont appricate, we always could have a mark sanchez or any other qb to lead this team... the guy is still a winner , yeah he lost his last 2 super bowls and yes his wife should keep her yap shut ... but he is still a winner, and those who are complaining and those midiots who think he is in decline keep him motivated i expect as long as bb the gm does his job and get him additional playmakers.. he will be still great for 5 more years..

And for those who blame welker, wes welker has more heart than any other patriot history.. and that includes bruschi , brown , grogan... 9 times out 10 they make the play , they didnt, but the d couldnt stop them either.. so there was more then the drop that lost the game... i hope this does not deter welker to not resign here, because Wes Welker should retire patriot.....

I kow exactly what you're saying. I know people still want to dissect exactly what went wrong Sunday and determine beyond doubt who was responsible, when, in fact, more than a couple of things went wrong and more than one person was responsible. The Globe this morning had an in-depth article attempting to determine whether Brady or Welker should bear the blame for the missed catch. Honestly, I'm past looking for villians or scapegoats. It's over, we lost and this type of torturous post-game analysis is a waste of time and energy. It's as if determining exactly who was to blame will somehow make what happened more acceptable and provide more pleasing closure. Well, not for me it won't. It actually prolongs the agony, but that's just my take.

That's because we have too many media analysts these days.

the safety was a good call, bad play by brady , they're almost always going to call a play like that when the qb is under serious pressure and just flings it

but the pats went on to outscore the giants 17-0 and grab an 8 point lead after spotting them a 9-0 lead

so then the only bad play he made the rest of the game was the bomb int, and that took a pretty incredible play by a LB to make it a negative

i'd say those were the only two plays i saw where brady made mistakes by panicking under pressure, and it really only cost NE 2 points, because on the free kick after the safety NY was pinned back to their 23 i believe, which is shorter than a free kick from a safety should yield, in field position

IMO brady had a damn good game in the denver game , and in the sb, and had a below brady game in the ravens game

to me, the blame for the sb doesn't go on brady , it goes on welker and just not getting to those fumbles they forced (and the one wiped out by a flag)

that's not to say the D didn't play well either, because the D played pretty damn good , they only really gave up 13 points that weren't freebies (safety was on brady, and the freebie td at the end was on belichick)

I believe as fans we too should "Ignore the noise".

It's the media, that tells you everything you need to know.

Unfortunately the media has to develop talking points and keep the pot boiling. Personally, I'm not into the blame game. It was a great season and just missed being the ultimate ending. People never give the other team credit. Justin Tuck seemed very disruptive in the fourth quarter, Manningham makes a great catch, our team makes a couple mistakes and its the ball game. The Patriots were a worthy representative and had a shot at winning. It got so bad yesterday, I heard Shaughnessy complaining because Ocho should have been in on the hail mary rather than Gronk. Gresh was apoplectic and thought Shaughnessy was crazy. I haven't listened to much talk radio because I didn't want to hear this stuff.

The season is over, lets start thinking about next year's run because there will be another run next year.

Can't wait.

tuck is one of the best big game players

i remember his rookie year, we beat the giants in sd, and late in the game LT breaks off this long-ass 80 yard run or near 80 yarder, and all you see is this missile running alongside LT , running his ass down and getting him out of bounds

that was tuck, it was amazing

Nobody talks about guys like Wilfork and Mayo who couldn't make any game changing plays,in face both leaders of the defense were invisible much of the game, yet the blame always goes to the highest profiles on the team.

That's the way it is....the media likes to pick on the 'sexy' guys, not the guys in the trenches because the trenches are actually where almost every game is won and lost.

I think the one sided media coverage before the superbowl on the pats and even how they are perceived makes it easy for all the media to assign blame to brady or welker. If this was peyton/dungy, all of ESPN will be falling over making excuses. If you know how to play the media you can get a pass easily .If you ignore the media like BB and Brady do, they will call get criticized because both of them dont care to respond or make friends with the media.

The comical thing about a thread like this is the OP who started it can't ever ignore the noise and consistently generates as much of it here as any harping mediot...
