Actually, I find the timing of all this too be way too self-serving. Frankly, I think it's the flip side of the same coin whose other face is the constant invocation of BS like spygate.

Oh the irony on this thread is amazing... considering the Pats won 3 rings cheating.

Player goes down he stays on the bench for the rest of the game. If the injury is serious he wouldn't be physically able to participate anyway. That would end all the "acting" in order to gain an unwarranted time out.

I dont see anyway to prevent injury faking.

The NFL is trying to promote safety and player health and would surely prefer that players remain on the ground until medical staff arrive if they believe they are hurt.

I can't figure out why we didn't go no-huddle when JPP went out with an "injury".

No need to demonstrate your complete lack of football knowledge in your 23rd post. Give it time.

Welker's drop has nothing to do with the Giants faking injuries, those are 2 seperate issues.

That's far too punitive. You need to think about legitimate injuries, too, not just players who are faking.

I'd say that if a timeout is required due to a player injury, that player has to remain off the field for the remainder of the drive, and no other players can sub in aside from his replacement.
