Default Belichick during SB week: lighthearted, having fun with the media

...Wow, what a different attitude. He's done 2 interviews this week so far, well, one plus one going on right now. Talk about a different attitude. He's disclosed more over the past 2 days than I've heard in the past 2 years.

I like this side of him, he's having fun with the media, giving long, descript answers, and just generally enjoying living in the moment.

Anyone else notice this? Thoughts?

Bill Belichick 1/29/2012

I'll add todays interview when it is uploaded, currently live on Patriots.com and NFL Network.

BB seems to be walking around like a kid who knows something everyone else doesn't. Maybe he knows his Pats are going to put a surprise beating on the very hyped NY Giants... Well I'd like to think so. .....And that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I'm basing this on nothing, but I think that a talkative BB has usually meant that the team is preparing/practicing well. I believe I remember Reiss saying something similar on twitter before the Broncos game as he was pretty talkative that week also.

This might be the best mood he's been in since the week before hte 45-3 Jets beating.

I can live with that.

I'd be happy too, the media seem to have fallen hook, line & sinker for Gronk being "injured" and the Giants players are yapping like they play for the Jets.

Life is good for BB at the minute

Bill can actually be very talkative when reporters ask something besides the questions he won't answer, ever:

1) Is player X hurt?
2) How hurt is he?
3) Is he likely to play?
4) Does such-and such game on such-and-such date mean you can / cannot win?
5) Player Y of the other team had this trash to say... what is your response?

Usually he is responsive with a thoughtful question about strategy or situational football, particularly it if allows him to offer a historical perspective.

Two or more of the taboo-type questions in a row and he gets short and monotone.

For now his tolerance for stupid questions seems to be high, and he directs his answer toward more thoughtful things, even if the question was stupid.

There is something definitely different about him this time.
