Lightbulb Patriots Win Over Miami, What Do We Take From It?

Patriots Win Over Miami, What Do We Take From It?
By: Steve Balestrieri

This is a never say quit, mentally tough football team, that doesn't panic and doesn't cash it in. Three times this season, they've come back from sizable deficits. Down 10-0 in Philadelphia, down 16-7 in Denver and being down at the half 17-0, the Patrio...

Taking nothing away from yesterday or the other comebacks cited (great wins, all of them and hard fought!), except for Denver, unless lightening strikes, none of those victories were against Playoff Teams. So, my takeaway is that this year's Pats probably can't take a chance on falling more than a score behind anyone they'll face in the playoffs, and that includes a hungry Bungles team.

I think what they did yesterday was pretty amazing. The o-line was

Solder - rookie
Thomas - who?
Connolly - Backup
Waters - old vet
Cannon - Lymphoma recovery

It was pretty clear that the O-line was the problem in the first half. The defense actually came out to play yesterday. If not for the 3 and outs and McCourty's stupid PI call, the score would reflect the effort they had in the first quarter. In the 2nd, they only gave up 7 points, which is really awesome.
