you should have won today, but now you have your backs against the wall ... lets see what this team is made up of next week at met life stadium... its not our season but its close enough win next week.. and you erase some doubt.. but how mentally tough is this team. the jets d shut down fitzpatrick, will they shut down the pats, we have not won in new jersey since 2008.. bill you cant blame dean pees or anybody else anymore the second half of the season is on you....

Brady and the Patriots offense have proven they can win a game.

The defense needs to prove they can win a game late in the fourth quarter. Once this happens, I will believe the Patriots can win the SB.

if the defense can continue to play as they did today, i am not worried about them against an inconsistent jets offense.

surprisingly, it is the patriots offense that i am curious to see next sunday against a seemingly rejuvenated jets defense. i still think they need to mix in a steady dose of the running game if the jets are still doggedly trotting out 7 or 8 defensive backs and 3 or 4 down linemen.

We probably won't win the super bowl until BOB is fired so yeah super bowl I could care less about right now. But please let's sweep the ******* jets and win this division. I'm not one of those super bowl or bust guys I'll still remember wins like the Dallas game and stopping the Jets when they looked to have turned their season around would be sweet!

I'm the exact opposite, I think the offense has more to prove after today. They decided not to show up for 2 3/4 quarters. The defense should have never been in a position to win the game in the final minute today.

I have confidence the offense can turn it around and play at a high level from start to finish, but this is third game in a row where the offense came out anemic and the second out of the last three where the offense didn't decide to show up until late in the game (it never really showed up against Pittsburgh).

People are saying that the defense showed today that the offense needs to score 30 points to win, but I disagree. The defense would have done just fine if the Pats offense showed up before the final minutes of the third period. I am not talking that they had to play like they did the final quarter and a 1/4 like they did today. They just needed to have drives that last more than 4-5 plays and 2-3 minutes over and over again. The Pats had two drives that went for more than 5 plays until the final 5 or so minute of the third quarter. During that time they had 5 drives of 4 or less plays.

The biggest problem for the defense for most of the game was the offense kept on putting them back on the field. Every time the defense made a stop, the offense responded with a punt or a turnover or a missed field goal.

The two have to be complimentary of one another. Now this year the both have some work to do, more for the D than the O. But if you consider that after tonight's Balt/Pitt game there will be only two teams with a 6-2 record in the AFC and one of them is Cinn with a rookie QB. This team needs some wins and some growth. The fear I have is that they are less aware of all the flaws on O because of the QB and the successes. Everyone knows the warts on the D and for 3 qtrs they had em fixed. Give em some time and I think they'll surprise people. I fear nothing new will surprise me about the O. Their flaws will go ignored and unfixed. Sadly.....

I'm not giving the offense a pass. They laid an egg for the majority of the games against DAL, PIT, and NYG.

When December and January roll around, I'd feel much better about the Patriots chances if the defense could win a game when they had to.

That being said, Brady is in a funk. And he needs to snap out of it.
