I have confidence the offense can turn it around and play at a high level from start to finish, but this is third game in a row where the offense came out anemic and the second out of the last three where the offense didn't decide to show up until late in the game (it never really showed up against Pittsburgh).
People are saying that the defense showed today that the offense needs to score 30 points to win, but I disagree. The defense would have done just fine if the Pats offense showed up before the final minutes of the third period. I am not talking that they had to play like they did the final quarter and a 1/4 like they did today. They just needed to have drives that last more than 4-5 plays and 2-3 minutes over and over again. The Pats had two drives that went for more than 5 plays until the final 5 or so minute of the third quarter. During that time they had 5 drives of 4 or less plays.
The biggest problem for the defense for most of the game was the offense kept on putting them back on the field. Every time the defense made a stop, the offense responded with a punt or a turnover or a missed field goal.

I'm not giving the offense a pass. They laid an egg for the majority of the games against DAL, PIT, and NYG.
When December and January roll around, I'd feel much better about the Patriots chances if the defense could win a game when they had to.
That being said, Brady is in a funk. And he needs to snap out of it.
