I see that Spector is a dimwit and will be forced to shut up by public sentement and his peers putting pressure on him. So this will, truly, be the end of the witch hunt.
ESPN, Peter King, New York media, etc. will continue to make accusatory, slanderous comments, but they'll get tired of it and realize how petty they sound eventually.
so, I guess, we begin moving forward now, finally. This has just been one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. A nation-wide ignoring of the truth to beat down someone you don't like. Jim Nance has it right on about the negative way in which society in general and the media specifically has put 'rush to judgement' and 'selling papers' ahead of any morals or proper ethics in reporting. So...lesson learned - for all of us, the world has never been fair, but be aware, it's getting worse. Nobody cares who gets unjustly portrayed, as long as ratings are up! This can happen to anyone of us, on a smaller scale in our own lives as well. People are just too into instant answers on everything.
The way I see it, now, we'll move on, and of course we'll continue to dominate, as we always do, as the taping never had anything to do with it, as we all know. And slowly but surely, this will all become old news. You'll always have the mudslinging from haters, but that was true before this happened anyway, and this only gave them more ammo. It has never mattered what they said before, and it won't going forward. Do you think the niners and broncos care when you bring up their salary cap transgressions? no. they just ignore them and throw mud back. same old, same old. The only thing that matters is winning and if we go forward and keep winning, we'll be able to relax and enjoy the winning going forward just like we used to in the past. And the winning will serve to emphasize, that none of this really mattered and was bitter sour grapes from the losers.
so bring on our new draft picks and our new team, and bring on our motivated organization. The Jets still wake up in the morning as the 2nd worse (behind only the bengals) team in afc history and have to live with themselves and their long record of failure. ANd they still have to try and beat us, which they seem to be having a little difficulty with lately. It's back to the competition, and our organization is still run better than theirs, regardless of how they try to paint it otherwise through the media. Their challenge is to prove it on the field, and actions speaker louder than words. We still get to kick their butts!

What does an old Pats running back have to do with Spygate? I haven't heard his comments.

You should have posted this on the forum when Michael Vick was being questioned about dog fighting. He's guilty and he's a POS (I'm a dog lover) but nobody on this forum was really into giving Vick the benefit of a fair trial before he was proven guilty. We all jumped to judgement. Now, this is completely different. We're innocent, but it still hurts when people jump to conclusions doesn't it?

In time this will die down, but will be brought up from time to time.
But here where we go from here (partial break down of the division of labor):
Bill will coach football.
Tom will throw the football.
Wes and Randy will catch the football.
Vince will make other team QB dread the day they talked their mom's into letting them play pee-wee football instead of take clarinet lessons.
I will watch all of this unfold on TV while sitting on my couch drinking beer.
you forgot a couple of things - first, the jets will not be good enough but will be 'really psyched' about next year. second - you'll need food..maybe some buffalo wings or something.
oh, and don't forget, all the insecure people we beat will continue to explain it away somehow - anyway possible, as long as it doesn't include admitting we're just better than them!
