Curran touches on it in this.

Add Curran to the rational crowd.

Watch the replay of Total Access tonight at 10. Well, maybe not -- you'll want to shoot Eisen. It really lowered my opinion of him.

I'll be at a friends house. They don't have NFLN (Time Warner). So I'll miss it.

In Curran's article, here is the quote I think you are referring to:

Quote:
Taping during an AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME which is OUTRAGEOUS ADAM! At first blush it is outrageous that this would go down in one of the more important games of an NFL season. But it is nothing new.
To me, that smacks of sarcasm. Maybe I am giving Eisen too much credit, but that is what it seems like.

Eisen was a tough listen today. He was alternating between the "outrageous" stuff (which wasn't sarcasm) then having moments of clarity when he realized the tapes showed little. The reality of what he saw he was dead on with but the concept of "cheating" he struggled with; painfully to my ears.

I agree did not spend a lot of time in front of the TV, but tried to find some info tonite.. most of the TV people Clayton, Palantonio etc. want to keep it going.. WEEI was great, as expected today..

But here is what I do not get, while all the talking heads were talking the videos were in the background, these videos could have been taken anywhere in the stadium..

Tom Curran is always the voice of reason.

John Clayton was very good today, the only voice of reason I heard all day on ESPN. And he's usually such a smarmy little witch.

Eisen: "That was really tough to see -- a team cheating during the AFC championship game." Then Woodson proceeds to analyze some of the tape segments and explain to him how the whole episode wasn't that big a deal.

Eisen isn't all that bright and insightful, he's more a master of ceremonies than savvy football guy.

How was taping a game cheating, ??? still no one has awnsered this question for me.. In 2006 I understand there was a rule, but doing it now is against it... Those things we saw today , had no impact on games in the present of future...
