As a Bostonian, I'm ashamed to have a citizen such as tomase. I hope that pats is not his 'football' team. You can't show your support to your team by doing what Tomase did.!

Even though I dont live in Boston area any more, Boston will always be in my heart for life because i grew up in this city.

My sneaking suspicion is that some of the posters who are harping the most about his appearance would probably be the posters most sweating if their computer screens were 2-way.

2) If I "screw up" in my profession, I would have the FINRA (formerly NASD), the SEC and Perry Mason going through my wallet. And that is even if I were not purposely doing anything wrong. Tomase had been following that story for 5 months. He knew the reasons why he hadn't published it up to that point. He knew the lay of the land.

Perhaps you should have worried about the "feelings" of everyone in the Patriots organization, Belichicks kids, the Kraft family, etc. who were affected by this libel instead of worrying about the Libeler.
Well put. I guess I was just looking at it as I'd personally be bummed if I logged on to a website where people were frequently writing insulting messages. I do feel he deserves the criticism however.

Like you stated, things couldn't have looked good through the eyes of the Kraft family while on their biggest stage.

I've laid off him and will continue to do so. I don't think he was intentionally malicious with the story; I believe his editors pushed to publish the story and he didn't have the backbone to push back. Huge mistake on his part and one he'll probably pay for with his job in addition to the hit his reputation and credibility have already taken. I'm positive he knows he effed up royally and probably feels like crap. A public apology and an official retraction would be good, but aren't necessary at least for me to give the guy a break. He'll be paying for his lack of conviction for a long time and that's punishment enough.

Regards,
Chris

Why should anyone lay off? At best this was shoddy-ass journalism. At BEST. At worst it was an utter fabrication to sell papers and make a name for himself.

This ain't over till WE SAY IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What?! Layoff of Tomase and the Herald before they prostrate themselves before BB in public and beg for forgiveness? FAT chance! NEVER!

Tomase should go cover Japanese baseball or something. At least Walsh had revealing footage of cheerleaders!

I would wish this guy good luck in his next job anywhere away from NE and football. But he has overstaid his welcome. IMO

If I never see or hear from him again it'll be too soon. The guy's lack of professionalism disgusts me and I hope he ends up working at McDonalds. Personally I wouldn't make fat jokes as they are very junior highish IMO - but if others choose to, tomASSe has opened the door by not taking better care of himself.
