Your logic makes sense. That said, I do think the D will come along. I don't think you can flick a switch and change schemes and personnel, especially with no offseason. I know I'm in the minority, but I think we're going to see a good push and more blitzes by seasons end. I don't care if he doesn't throw another TD, just give us winds and a shot in the playoffs.

Time to warm up the running game....before Brady's arm goes limp

Whether people like it or not,the truth is that we are now what we were laughing about over 4 years ago......we are the Indianapolis Colts of the mid decade.....all offense, little defense
To be more specific, we may have a ton of offense, but it wimps out in the clutch. THAT is what we are now and what PManning and the Colts have been for the better part of the past decade.

I wouldn't call one game a trend. The offense had moved well. It was 4 picks that cost us the game, especially when we were driving for scores.

Actually it was the inability to play balanced ball control offense that cost the game. Up 21-0 and if the OC does not know how to milk the clock and mix up play calling with balanced pass and run, knowing his defense is depleted then he belongs in HS football

There wasn't an INT on the Bills last drive of the game when Brady made up for his picks by tying the game only to have the defensive front look like scrubs from a college team as Fred Jackson went practically untouched to the goalline.
The defense didn't help the cause, thats for sure and who knows if NE wins the coin toss in OT and wins the game.
Brady was only a partial reason for the loss.

With the defense struggling and injured the way that it is, I would hope that we turn to the run much more than we have in the first few weeks to burn up T.O.P. as much as possible and keep the defense off the field. The fact that Belichick actually WANTED the defense to give up the TD yesterday says a lot. This team is all offense right now and the offense is all pass. If we stick to that formula and keep relying on the opposing offense to shoot itself in the foot in the red zone, we aren't going to sniff the Super Bowl again any time soon.
WITH that being said, all of these problems can be corrected. O'Brien can turn to the run more (I liked the way Ridley looked yesterday and was baffled when they took him out of the game) which will also open up the play action pass. On top of that, key injuries to the defensive front should be returning. Further, this is a great coaching opportunity for one of the best in the game, ala the Browns loss last year. I expect Belichick to act accordingly.

I agree with running the ball more, but I think we should still be pass heavy against the Raiders.
