That last long Patriot drive was eerily reminiscent of the long drive against the Jets in the 4th quarter of the playoffs last year. No sense of urgency.

...21-0 took the loudest Bills crowd ever out of the game.
24-24 and 31-24 were deafening. You could not hear yourself speak.
Patriots have big problems here: Barrett, S. Brown, Spikes, A. Carter.
It doesn't show on TV as well as you see it in the stadium, but any fan watching plays develop and watching the opposing QB can point to the direction he's going to throw it long before Barrett or Brown will even begin breaking. They just don't see what's going on out there.
How do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you really believe that every fan in the stands can read the play better than the professional football players on the field.

I really don't care if anyone takes me seriously. All I know is I was calling plays. Like Gronk out alone on the right, while 3 were bunched on the left. I said, ball is going to Gronk. Sure enough, it did.
When Fitzpatrick was back there, I said, he's coming to Jones. How did I know? He was freaking winding up his arm!! What was Barrett doing? Nothing. He broke long after Fitzpatrick released.
You don't seem to understand what I wrote. If a dummy know-nothing like me can see it, why in the world can't our safeties. I can't emphasize this enough. I know nothing. I saw it, so did 65,000 other people. Our safety didn't.

How do you feel now?
If you are seriously that out of touch with reality, there is no point responding.

I doubt he really believes that every fan at the game was reading plays better than the players. I think he was just making a point.
It had nothing to do with reading plays. It was looking at Fitzpatrick throw the ball with no break on it at all. When a QB aims his body at the only WR on that side of the field and winds up, while our safety is picking daisies, it doesn't take a genius to watch that happen. But hey, if you want to twist things like AndyJohnson, be my guest.

We scored with 2+ mins left.....I don't see where you are going with this.

What did I twist? You said every fan in the stadium could read the play and our safeties couldn't. (You also said you knew when they would throw to Gronk too).
I accepted that as your real honest view of what you think, and chose to dismiss it as ignorant. Where is the twist?
Keep drafting in quantity philosophy is being shredded to pieces
Regarding moving down in the draft, it's almost like BB has resigned himself to a "damned if I do, damned if I don't" philosophy to rookies so he's decided to take a draft-in-bulk-and-see-how-many-stick-approach. Kind of the idea that you can either draft gifted athletes that turn out to be knuckleheads-- lMerriweathers, Spikes and Chad Jacksons of the world--or smart players like McCourty, Mayo and Chung who may not be upper-echelon elite athletes on the pro level .
There are obvious exceptions like Gronk and Vollmer, but far too few in recent years IMO.
