Default OT: Any way to validate the tickets I just bought?

I bought some tickets today for the Pats Raiders game Oct 2nd from someone in town I found off of craigslist, is there a way to find out if they are legit by contacting the Raiders ticket line or ticketmaster?

Stay away from craigslist tickets, I'm not saying your tickets can't be real but there's a lot of trouble with craigslist.

Our local newspaper just published a story about Craigslist for Pats tickets. Last game there was quite a bit sold which were counterfeit. FBI and local police as well as the Patriot Org. are now investigating. I know you just bought them, but its BAD JU-JU to get them on there. Good luck bud.

The answer is no. You can't validate the tickets before the event or at least in my ticketing experience, I was never provided that option by Ticketmaster or any team's ticketing office.

I know that, if the tickets are e-tickets that were forwarded from the persons season ticket account, the barcodes would supercede the barcodes found on the hardstock tickets.

Vice versa though.

If you were given the hardstock tickets, the barcodes could be invalidated by printing e-tickets off the season ticket account.

And the whole thing would be fine if the person isn't a season ticket holder at all, because then you wouldn't have to stress too much about it.

That's a great point TS.

I hate to be negative, or to freak the poor poster out, but I bought tix to the Steeler/Pats game here in Pittsburgh on Oct.30th, and I believe that I saw an option to report your tickets lost/stolen/never received in the mail on the website. In which case they would allow you to print them out via e-ticket off of the website. So I don't believe that you necessarily have to be a season ticket holder to re-print e-tickets, thus making the original hard tickets invalid.

With the whole "e-ticket" option now, it is making it much easier to sell tickets (hard or printed) that are no good. That is unfortunate.

If it were me, I'd at least call Ticketmaster and ask anyway, just to settle myself and exhaust all options; but if TealSox already has experience with this issue, then that may not be an option.

Best of luck to you, my friend.

Default OT - Tickets to Cowboys/Pats?

I'm down in Jacksonville, FL, and I am hoping to get up to Gillette for the Cowboys game. I've been on the season ticket waitlist for about 8 years now, so hopefully only 10 more years to go until I get them!

I apologize for going OT, since I'm not sure if there's a proper forum category to even ask this, but does anyone happen to have (or be able to get) 2 tickets to that game?

I'd prefer not to go through Stubhub, and Ticketexchange has zero tickets.

Thanks!

I've been trying to get 4 tickets to this one since ticket exchange went up. A friend of mine is a die hard Cowboys fan and just finished his his fourth tour overseas so we wanted to do this game as a "welcome home", but with the prices they are going for on Stub Hub and Ebay ($900 for nosebleeds), I am losing hope in ever getting them.
