Is this what the NFL has come to? Basketball in pads?

Get used to it. The Pats are gonna put up a lot of points this season. And teams playing from behind will rack up garbage time yards/points with a lot of passes.

This game was just the latest example, Brady's masterful performance notwithstanding. Defense has all but been legislated out of the NFL.

Every rule change and decision has been leading to that. Receivers can go where ever they want now and have no fear of being hit.
If they ever enforce the 5 yard legal contact rule on Revis and he gets called 30 times a game, we could do this every week

Seriously, 30 points used to be an impressive performance, now at least half of the games this week have scores over 30.

one thing I've noticed more than usual...offensive P.I. is rampant...all the big WR's push off on the smaller DB's to get separation...

Interesting factoid. Brady's 500+ made me look up a classic matchup I watched between young namath and old Unitas where they threw for 496 and 376 yds respectively.

What I hadn't noticed is Namath threw only 15 completions.

check this stat line

15-28...6 touchdowns 33 yds per catch.

That's a pretty efficient 15 passes.

Just so people who question his HOF credentials, he was not an average player even if his totals were average.

And still we can't buy a PI call. Why exactly does Revis get the Jordan treatment? The sicker thing is that Cromartie gets the Pippen treatment and he's lucky if he's Bill Wennington.

That's why we got big CB's. I daresay lightning has struck twice. Last year with McCourty, and this year with Dowling.
