Brutal story on Spygate, I was tempted not to post it, but I think it's important to understand how strong the hate it is !!

Can we create a special Forum "Moron writes opinion piece trashing Pats with pure innuendo no new factual content whatsoever"?

It would save readers here lots of wasted clicks.

Thanks PWP, I've taken to just scrolling down to the first responders (such as you) instead of visiting any more of these speculators!

His entire story was based on his opinion that Walsh "must" have something, why else would he be doing this.....and why would Spector be involved.

Therefore, suspend BB and wipe out the Superbowl victories.

I will be so happy when this guy is exposed, hang in there Patsfans -" he who laughs last...."

The article is titled "There has to be more to the Spygate story"

And yet for all the attention he gives to Senator Specter this earnest reporter never once uses the word "Comcast" in what I'm sure he would like people to believe is a fair and balanced story.

There is more to Spygate and that's exactly where the attention should be - if people are this up in arms about "corruption" in football, they're going to be outraged when they learn of Comcast's role in influencing Senator Specter.

The bottom line on Walsh however is that we have someone fired for unauthorized taping (assuming the Patriots can corroborate that) and that any other tapes Walsh has will similarly be suspect of being obtained without authorization.

Kindof ironic, but that's the bottom line - Walsh has no credibility if indeed he asserts he had authorization to make any tapes of anything.

The only advantage the Patriots had in '01 was the fact that Mike Martz was on the opposing sideline.

There is one. The VLR and I'll send it there.

BrianPat just posted something that was out there. He's not responsible for the non-sense contained in the article. However the thread title should have been 'Wishes" or "Hopes" instead of "is sure". There was no thought in that article.

The current media tide has turned against Walsh so this misinformation monger decides to go against the grain to get clicks. It's comical how he grasps at straws here. I know he's quoting Specter here:

Quote:
"According to Mike Martz, the Rams' coach," Specter said, "the Patriots knew all their signals ... when they were within 20 yards of the touchdown.
but WTF does that even mean? The Rams were 1-for-1 in the Red Zone.

And for the record I have to say I don't mind these Spygate threads popping up. It's fun to see common fans on a messageboard rip apart and point out all the inaccuracies of articles written by professional sports writers.
