Default Will Eagle fan Specter investigate the Randy Moss signing?

Reports out now has Randy Moss turning down 11th hour pleas by Eagle's coach Andy Reid to sign a contract with Philly that was more lucrative than New England's. Therefore, we could expect a full scale investigation by Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) to ascertain how it came to be that Moss would turn down a contract offer from the Eagle that would pay him more money. This could be the expected statement from Senator Specter's office:

Sen. Arlen Specter: "Today, I have been informed that NFL player Ricky Moss surprisingly rejected an offer to play elsewhere for more compensation. This office intends to investigate this transaction because it frankly does not pass the smell test. Let me first qualify my statement by saying that this investigation is in no way connected to my interest as a Philadelphia Eagle's fan, and is solely being undertaken to ensure that the integrity of the NFL is maintained. I intend to ask Ricky Moss's agent Tom DiPeeri and Patriots personnel to appear in Washington to explain their actions. My own personal opinion is that it seems rather obvious that the New England team has illegally funneled millions upon millions of dollars of cash, under the table, to said Moss, in order to entice him as a partner in this illicit transaction. Accordingly, I have asked the Internal Revenue Service, Secret Service and FBI to join us to get to the bottom of this affair. Some people will wonder why we are wasting taxpayer's money on such matters, and I counter that my constituents demand nothing less than this humble servant's earnest effort to restore fairness and integrity in our country. Thank you."

Collusion between the agent and the Patriots. Probably a bribe.

Frivolous thread. Can't we concentrate on good things for awhile? Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative. I know it's dry humor but haven't we had enough of the negative stuff?

I think others are right that quite a lot of this board's contributors are of the Red Sox fans pre-2004 mentality.
