Default What size hole is the linebacker situation in right now?

If you could pick a hole of the current Linebacker situation what would it be?

Obviously the bigger the more serious (trouble) it is

Compare it to the following....

1) A Pin Hole?
2) A Cheerio Hole?
3) A Manhole?
4) A Hole the size of the state of Texas?

As of now, we have a Texas size hole at ILB and a manhole (that we hope Woods can fill) at OLB.

CURRENT
OLB Vrabel, Thomas, Woods
ILB Bruschi, Alexander, Izzo
scrub Slaughter

I think the reality is
OLB Vrabel, Thomas, open
ILB open, open, Bruschi
ST Izzo, Woods, Alexander (this is an excellent threesome)
scrub Slaughter

You've got the half glass o' milk for F.B.N.'s glazed donut, don't ya?

Like, if a big massive Asteriod plunged into earth, when Teddy Bruschi removes it with his bare hands....that hole.

*Not really.

Considering that the defense the Pats play is built around playmaking LBs, and we have starting spots that need to be filled, I'd say it is a major one.

I'm thinking there is an outside chance we sign Lance Briggs. San Fran. just spent $$ on Smith and may want to spend on offense. There has been talk that he may resign with the Bears. I would think that the Pats could offer him a little more then he would settle for with the Bears.
