Default Cap Space Estimate as of 8/3/2011

$4M under before the three $1m exemptions.

My guesses at the 2011 cap numbers for players whose numbers have yet to be reported
Light - $5 million
Faulk - $1 million
Sammy Morris - $525,000 (a vet minimum deal)
Chris Morris - $525,000 (a vet minimum deal)
Steve Williams - $525,000 (a vet minimum deal)
Brandon McGowan - $525,000 (a vet minimum deal)
Tracy White - $525,000 (a vet minimum deal)
Richard Medlin -$375,000
Jonathan Compas - $375,000
DarrylS, mtbykr, fester and 8 others like this.

Same here, esp. when the unprecedented newness & confusion is taken into consideration.

Only $4M of space? Where the hell has all the money gone, into pass-rushers?

My suggestion: because of his dual-income status that ensures his progeny never has to work again
for the next couple of centuries, Brady might want to consider a contract restructuring
that allows Bill to obtain the pieces needed to make a real, honest run at one more SB.
Because as it is currently comprised, this team will be nothing more than 1 & Done, if that.

If Plan A isn't an option, then why the hell did Bill ass-ume the salaries of Ochostinko & Fat Albert?
There were/are cheaper, just-as-good WRs & DLmen available who don't occupy almost 7 figures of cap space.

Mankins $10 mil is a nice portion of it.

What would be Solder's net cap effect if he signs for at about what others around him?

We should sign Mayo now. Vollmer at the end of this season.

It sounds like we have around 10m after Mankins signs and the exemptions go out.

Miguel, do you know if the Pats renegotiated Haynesworth and Chad's contracts to lower their 2011 cap impact?

Around a million. The 51st player now has a salary of $525K. Solder's 2011 cap number can be no higher than $1.55 million. $1.55 million minus $525K is around a million dollars.
