Sorry to rehash, but its a quiet day in Patsville....So, after much speculation and theories run amuck in the media, everything boils down to this: You can use video to steal signals, just not from the field (you need to do it from the coaches booth).

How idiotic is this? Essentially, you can break into my house and steal my things legally if you come in the back door, but not if you come in a window.

It burns me up every time I think of the fact that we lost a draft pick to this BULL *****. Thanks Godell for understanding the how the league works, has worked in the past, your rules, and how to the media works. You may have singlehandedly blown a irreparable hole in the hull of the ship that is the NFL. What is your salary? Donate it to charity.

The rule is that you can't tape coaches. You can watch with binoculars and take notes from the box, but you can't use video.

You are wrong.

That is not the rule.

The rule says you can't film from an area that's not enclosed by at least 3 walls.

Wrong. You can tape coaches; you just can't tape them from the sideline.

N.F.L. policy prohibits videotaping opposing coaches giving signals. Last year, the N.F.L.’s executive vice president of football operations sent a memo to teams reminding them of the rule.
