Exactly. It's funny how even grown men in positions of power succumb to peer pressure quite easily. He really didn't take enough time to think it through.

Funny... Pacman's suspension was just extended all the way to training camp, just yesterday.

Re: Patriots DENY Walsh Has Confidential Agreement
if what he has is stolen property, then Goodell can write indemnifications up the wazoo but they can't protect Walsh from criminal charges should the patriots push charges nor do i think that the nfl would indemnify him against criminal fines.
also, if the Pats were ever to claim that their franchise value was negatively impacted by Walsh, then we could be talking about a nine figure lawsuit. i don't think that the nfl owners are ready to pony up a hundred mill or so to Bob.

No. You have it wrong. Mankins, Light and Kazcur owe us an apology.
Re: Patriots DENY Walsh Has Confidential Agreement
No confientiality agreement, and I doubt an Atty for the Pats would not know whether on existed or not, leads me to believe that Walsh has nothing substantial on those tapes and is fearful of a defamation suit. Looks like he wants to talk, then do the tv rounds and write a book.

it wouldve been interesting how taglibue wouldve handled this. to cut goodell some slack , iam sure he was pressured by the competition commitee which hates the pats. i remember fisher saying when this came out that if goodell can suspened an assistant coach in dallas for 5 games what will he do with BB.
On the flip side, if goodell had suspensed BB for 1 game do we think this wouldve grown this big ? or if the patriots had gone 11-5 ? i think not.its just that the pats defied everything in the face of criticism that egoistic reporters like easterbrrook chose to dwelve further and further to throw this garbage.

Cut Goodell slack? Why? He moved to judgement quick fast like he was the new kingpin and..basically he shot himself by his actions. He slapped this franchise silly and unfairly..so in my opinion he gets NO slack at all and should not get ANY from any Patriot fan. The quicker this bozo steps and slips and is seen for the unfair and incompetent jerk he is, the better. If Spector, Walsh can help pull Goodell down, that would be fine with me. Fairness?? he didn't care about that then or now.

I also agree. He has been backtracking since before the Super Bowl.
I don't think even you needed 750k to get the message. The money makes it a bigger deal than the NFL wants. You need to start with something. The NFL never did.
"Teams are allowed to tape during the game from different locations, but not from the sidelines. The Patriots had their camerman on the sidelines. They will be fined $25,000. Teams are reminded to keep video staff off of the sidelines."
The league privately tells Kraft/BB next time the money increases with a draft pick or more, after that look out. I don't think the Patriots continue and the league has started the process of escalation without being dramatic.
Most fans and media couldn't have told you where cameras were/are allowed and or if they were and still can't (Peter King and any radio host heard in CA).
Re: Patriots DENY Walsh Has Confidential Agreement
Goodell did a terrible job in handling this. He not only hurt himself, he hurt the nfl, and more importantly to us, the Patriots. I dont know why the competition committee is set up how it is, seeing their bias impacted how out of hand this whole thing got. Regardless, Goodell was the one with the final say and his actions directly caused this whole thing to be what it is now.
Back on topic, is there anything else Walsh has lied about? So now we have 1.) he lied about confidentiality agreement 2.) he lied about his position on the patriots and how much of an impact he truly had on the team 3.) he taped conversations with the Patriots, unknowingly to them, and he lied (through his lawyer) that, that never happened 4.) he wrongly incriminated the Patriots on charges that are untrue.
1 2 and 3 we know for sure, and 4 will come out with time....could this guy be any more liar? How the hell did anyone give him any amount of credibility? To hell with the mediots!
