He's doing a solid for guys like Condon who had to jump in today and salvage PR spin the franchise tag grab debaucle he probably signed off on on his clients behalf when Kessler asked for volunteers to throw up one or two more lucrative roadblocks to negotiating a CBA out of court... Condon is also the father of the NFL trickle down theory. Sold it to Gene (he was Gene's agent too) for years. Caps don't faze him, he has yet to encounter one he can't find a workaround for...And he's hurtin' big time over the capping of rookie contracts. CAA reps all the stud rookie QB's and multiple top ten picks annually. His income from their obscene deals is about to be halved. He also sold Gene on their trickle down impact driving up veteran deals.

Two other agents who don't rep a ton of big names but don't scare easily are reportedly our buddy Frank Bauer and Jackson's agent Schwartz. So of course their players deserve whatever they can get...

They should gather all the plaintiffs and their agents in one location tomorrow. Maybe Tommy can bring Lua along and tell whichever one of them can stare her down gets to dictate the settlement terms - if he's still breathing.

It is easy to see that the trickle-down-so-that-other-players-earn-more-if-he-does idea is pure dumb:

Manning earns $20 mil
Leaves 100 mil for other 52 players to divy up (about $2 mil each)

Manning earns $40
leaves $80 mil for other 52 players to divy up (about $1.5 mil each)

Manning earns $70 mil
leaves $50 mil for other 52 players to divy up (about $1 mil each)

Who called Cassel a douche? People talk about Bledoe's INTs at critical times, but no one ever called him anything but a stand-up guy. Because he was and is. Chris Slade. Dan Klecko. Givens left and is highly respected. Willie, too. O.T.I.S. David Patten. The list of players who left and are respected is much larger than the few who left and aren''t respected.

Law and Milloy acted like dinks when they left, and are regarded as dinks. Again, not because they left but because they acted like dinks.

I think that most of the players that we Pats fans have "turned on" have been those who have made it clear that their primary interest is cashing in (e.g., Deion Branch in 2006, Adam Vinatieri in 2007). OTOH, you have players like Heath Evans, who wanted to stay, but simply couldn't turn down the amount that the Saints were offering him; I don't think anyone who respected him while he was a Patriot has turned on him since.

Well, do much for his claim that he had a source that said Mankins asked for something. In this piece he says it was Mankins or Jackson and Schefter had reported yesterday that Jackson had made a request but not Mankins.

if your as good as Manning or Brady the type a player that makes your team much better then you should be pad top Doller but if your Vincent Jackson a WR who has never had more then 68 rec has never had 1200 yerds and has never had 10 TD's and he has played he's whole career with one of the best QB's the NFL a guy like that should not make more then 5 or 6 million IMO
