Default IF Seau and Bruschi hang them up

I'm thinking today...What is the possibility if both of those guys hang them up we see Belichick move Vrabel/Adalius to the inside, Colvin along with a FA addition for the outside? It would make sense to add a good pass rusher. Both Adalius and Vrabel would be able to keep the ILB position healthy for at least the next 2 seasons. I was just wondering anyway, sound like a plan?

I think Seau could make a move to the Chargers and make a run with them.
If Brandon Siler is still not over his 7 round slide they may be able to use Seau .. who knows .. anyone who thinks his heart is still not with that team is crazy and he has another year left in him.

I think that would be OK, but only as a last resort. It's a poorer use of each of their talents to stick them in the inside, I think.

I don't think they'd do that, Vrabel was having a great year until Colvin got hurt; however, playing along it looks like Arizona LB Calvin Pace will hit free agency. Him and Colvin outside, Vrabel and Thomas inside is . . . interesting.

AD needs to stay outside, he looked great pash rushing in the SB.

Both guys can still play. The loss of Colvin really hurt the defense.

If they get a chance at Gholston at pick #7, they should jump at it. Dan Connor is also a possibility, as he is said to compare favorably with Urlacher and is a better prospect than Posluzny supposedly. He'd be a trade down pick. I don't think they'd go there with #7. Vanderbilt's Goff (ILB) with the 2nd Round pick is possible as well.

All of those just flesh out the LB rotation. But they also need CB help. It never ends.

Pace is the same size as AD so that would be one big LB corps.

There's only two conclusions for Patriots fans on rookies. They are either a bust or being fitted for their bust in Canton.
