Didn't we already do this?

As long as he doesn't have a record, I'm fine with it.

Yeah, really. LOL. Same here.

In all seriousness, he'd be a horrible fit to this current young team in my opinion.

Pats don't need no Plaxico.....let's see if their youngsters can develop....I'm even a bit iffy on having Branch on the team given his age and injuries....I wouldn't be opposed to grabbing a nice young FA for competition tho....may the best man win

Actually I think he might be good pick up under the right conditions.

The Patriots need an outside the numbers receiver, that other teams need to account for on every play. Perhaps Tate is that guy but Burress could be an answer if Tate is not.

It depends if he has learned his lesson, and if he has not lost something over the past couple of years. I would not rule him in or out.

I'm fine with Burress coming here. I suspect that he is worth more to the Giants and to other teams. Manning is already discussing the possibility.

I'd give it a shot.

It never hurts to have another weapon, another gun in the holster.

People try to keep him contained, but sometimes he just goes off and does a lot of damage.

Even if he were humble and hardworking could he still be an outside the numbers guy? He's older, didn't play for two years, had only 6 20+ yard receptions in 2008 (and 15 in 2007-which is a pretty good number, but less then the 20-25 the league leaders often get).

For comparison's sake, Branch had 9 in NE last year and Tate had 8 last year.

Burress is not 2007 Randy Moss folks. At this point if he is fit enough to play he's probably a large possession receiver.
