Of course no one expects them to say we are gonna loose. However us Pats fans expect our team to not even approach that question and only say its gonna be a tough game and we have to play our best if we want to walk away victorious. thats the difference between a 3 time champion ballclub and an also ran
I get that just fine, thank you. I have watched every game this team has played since 2000.

Poor dears. They have no clue.

You would have thought Coughlin would have prepped them a little at least.

Today is media day!!!!! This week is going to be like the greatest buffet ever for a Patriots fan!

My point is, he HAS to say that. He plays for the Giants. He can't go out and say his team is going to lose. And before you say it, I know...the Patritos wouldn't have given a prediction at all. I know. Plaxico is not a Patriot. Let him talk all he wants.
Yes, I agree!

Exactly! WE (as in most Pats fans) know this game is going to get ugly, and quick. So why are WE getting upset about what a reciever on the other team said?

Not sure what to expect from the kinder gentler Coughlin these days but Dale and Holley were handicapping when to expect the first Coughlin snaps episode of the week, and Holley took Thursday. Tom's been here as a position coach, never a HC, and the inane media intensity may get to him no matter how he tries to compensate. It's too bad Shockey is on IR. Will be interesting to see if he surfaces in any way this week. There were rumblings last week that he is fuming over both their getting to the dance without him and the talk about his absence amounting to addition by subtraction.

Guess not.

He doesn't seem to have much confidence his offense, and has way too much confidence in the Giants defense. It may also be revealing a plan by the Giants to play a run first offense, with an emphasis on TOP and running time off the clock.

I think it's completely reasonable for him to expect his defense to hold the highest scoring offense of all time to their season-low in points, in favorable conditions, when they just hung 38 on that same defense a month ago. After all, 17 is only slightly less than half what the Pats scored last time, I don't see why that's unreasonable.

In all seriousness, it does tick me off a little from a player. It's not as brazen, but it's really no different than Anthony Smith's guarantee, and that got people around here into quite a lather. These guys should of course think they're going to win, but leave the predictions to the mediots and do your talking on the field, that's what I say. I would bet anyone $100 you wouldn't find one guy on the bottom of the Pats depth chart who would say "yeah, we see us winning 34-20".

I love it, I love it. That was as good as guaranteeing a win.

OK. Guys. Sorry... It's all over. If he says, it must be so.

Let us all pack our bags, go home and play ping-pong or do something else. Don't bother watching the game.

If anyone has access to BB in Arizona, tell him to pack and go home. Tell all our players to take their vacations. Why bother?
