Think of the irony of adding the "greatest" Dolphin that didn't get a ring to the team that surpasses the Dolphin's undefeated streak.

I like this more and more every second.

Seriously it would be cool if they added an all-time Pat great like Hannah, Tippett or Morgan to get them a ring.
Would they go for this? Somehow, it feels to me like when Brett Favre basically laid himself out for Michael Strahan to set the career sack record (i.e., a hollow victory).

I doubt any player would accept the offer but it would be a great homage to a player like Tippett that never got national recognition and should be in the NFL HOF.

In all seriousness, how about someone who can TACKLE the Giants return man (Hixon) who had 2 very long returns (1 for a TD) against us last game.
NO YDS AVG LG
D. Hixon 8 221 27.6 74

If it were not for him, we'd have won the game by double digits. Kelley Washington...ya hear me?

Exactly. And I don't think it even means a game check in the postseason.

That said, why bother IRing him unless they plan to activate SOMEBODY?

IIRC, if your on the 53 man roster or the practice squad you will receive a playoff share per game. IMO, BB has a person in mind that he would like to reward for being on the Pat's shawdow roster with a playoff share & ring. Chad Brown is the first name that comes to my mind. Also if you have been on the practice squad or the 53 man roster any time during the year you may be elligible for a ring. I believe it is up to the team to decides who it would award a ring to. The NFL pays for up to 150 rings at $5,000 per ring.

This must really affect the spread on the game....I better cancel all my bets!
