Default 4 good games and you would think Eli is the next Joe Montana

The NY Media is hyping up Eli to a ridiculous extent.

He has had 4 good games in a row...does this mean he is now all of a sudden a top tier quarterback??

Let's compare EM's season to TB's

EM- 56.1% completions, 3330 yards, 23 TD/20Int 73.9 QB rating

TB- 68.9%, 4806, 50/8, 117.2 rating

What the heck do you expect the NY media to do?

Another stupid, homerish thread.

The hometown media supporting their player: What will they do next?

meh. Brady to this day still gets labeled as just a "system qb" by rival fans. Eli has a long way to go till he "earned" it.

The Giants coaches finally got it through their cast iron heads that Eli has the football IQ of a summer squash, so they dumbed down the offense to the point where he finally "gets it", doesn't make boneheaded mistakes and did just enough to beat the power house Bucs, the overated Cowboys and Lord "I'm a moron and I still think I'm a gunslinger and can throw the ball through a brick wall" Favre and a trip to the Super Bowl.

The question now is whether this continues on footballs biggest stage or if he *****s his pants and goes back to the old Eli. We'll know in two weeks......................

hahahaha. Would that be "baby squash" ?

The same Giants numnuts were ready to hang him in mid December.

I sense a Tony Eason SB experience for Eli

Give the guy credit-with all the storm he had to go through with the HUGE NY media AND the impatient fans there(Heck-they even boo Derek Jeter there too), he's really done an outstanding job weathering it and having a thick skin. He's really hung in there, and reaping the rewards.

If McFlabb were in that same situation, he would have melted down a LONG time ago.

And besides, the Giants have won TEN straight road games, including winning in TX Stadium, FedEx Field, The Linc, Lambeau, Soldier Field, ALL of which are extremely tough places to play.

He didnt discredit Eli, actually. He merely listed Eli's stats.

You are the one discrediting Eli by saying his stats are so bad that just listing them is insulting to Eli.
