Lots of teams will try to emulate what we do, but the wheels will come off the cart.

Garrard looks cool under fire so maybe he's our closest competitor.
You don't have to have a Brady, or a Montana or an Elway. Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, Doug Williams and Jeff Hostetler all were super bowl winning QBs. Sure, you'd rather have a great one but it's not a prereq. to winning a super bowl, at all.

Edit, however, to build a dynasty, maybe the idea of this thread, I think you need a hall of fame quarterback.

Browns, Otto Graham
Packers, Bart Starr
Steelers, Terry Bradshaw
49ers, Joe Montana, then Steve Young
Cowboys, Troy Aikman
Patriots, Tom Brady

Only exception was the early Gibbs Redskins, if you want to consider them a dynasty.

suprised not too much mention of pittsburgh who are to me an obvious choice.

they have built great team after great team through solid drafting. already have a very similar philosophy to ours. they can play physical and have a top 5 qb who can manage games well as his record so far indicates. he also stepped up huge in their 05 super bowl run (aside from the super bowl itself, but they still won). hes not brady or manning but as close as it comes from the current qbs in the league.

only question mark there is tomlin. to me he was quite overrated this year. he inherited a pretty damn good team that was only hurt by injuries to big ben last year and they faced a soft schedule this season. also had a couple in game blunders against jville, pittsburgh shouldve been the ones playing us last weekend.
