This ALWAYS happens when something negative about the Pats is posted there, whether it was their original scoop or not. It's ridiculous, and I've said this before.

I guess it is a personal perogative, if a person chooses to ignore one of the best sources for NFL information available to the general public. But it is a shame that many don't understand what the site is about. It isn't a daily newspaper, full of fact

, it is a guy with a *****load of sources who reports what his sources tell him, he never presents the information in a misleading way - if it is a rumor from a source that he trusts he states it, and the opposite applies.

That's the best I've heard someone put the philosophy of PFT. Bravo.

By the way, I have seen it said here several times that PFT said that Moss would be released. That's simply not true. They said there were rumors to that effect and it was possible. Which is different.

Personally I like hearing rumors and speculation as long as they are identified as such, it's up to the reader to decide how likely they are to be true.

Last night the estimable patsfans.com community managed to convince itself that the restraining order must refer to some other Randy G. Moss of Boca Raton, Florida.

PFT is hit or miss, but does break a ton of stories early and is particularly good on player contract info. You have to go in reminding yourself that a rumor is just a rumor, but the site is worthwhile for scoops. (Florio's attempts to pontificate on the actual game of football, however, are worthless.)
