What I learned last night
So I picked last night to watch my first Patriots game of the season [/sarcasm] and came away truly shocked. All season long I've only followed this team from the commentary of truly insightful, intelligent, and rationale posters on this site and came away believing that this defense can't stop the run; the offense can't run the ball; Laurence Maroney is a bust; Tom Brady has zeroed in on Randy Moss and is not the quarterback he once was (thanks, pf1996); Ellis Hobbs is crap and Randall Gay is the much better cornerback, in fact he should be starting ahead of Hobbs, who is nothing but a nickelback; Richard Seymour is garbage and does not deserve the money he's being paid because his heart isn't in the game (to paraphrase, "he hates his coach"); and, to cap it all off, the New England Patriots, after letting quarterbacks like AJ Feeley, Kyle Boller, and Eli Manning move up and down the field late in the season, would get blown out of the water in the playoffs when they play a real quarterback and a real team.
Good thing I watched last night's game.

I don't like Dungy and that's because he [was] the head coach of the Colts. Period. End of question. The degree to which I like a player or coach is predicated solely on the color of the laundry they wear on Sunday. When fans admit this and stop bashing players and coaches for any other reason, the world of sports will be infinitely improved.
