Default The importance of a Charger win

Actually more of a bonus.

I think the Pats can beat either SD or Indy, but would rather play SD.

If they win, SD would have to fly back to SD from Indy Sunday afternoon then turn around and fly all the way back across the country to NE in a 4-day span. That's a grind, even though they charter.

That's a pretty good point, actually. The east coast trip in addition to the fact that the Patriots will already have an extra day of rest/preparation is going to help.

Honestly I still can't root for Phillip Rivers. I mean say what you want about Manning and Dungy and the rest but they are a good team that has earned their victories. Rivers is a loudmouth dumb**** who talks so much crap despite being a mediocre QB.

Plus I'd love to get some revenge for last year. Ugh that loss still hurts. 12 men in the huddle.

I'd rather play San Diego, just because of their smack talk. And the two cross country trips would have to take their toll.
But I'm confident we can beat either one.

the chargers small rb tomlinson can be stopped just like jone drew jr. Randy moss is itching to play the chargers or the colts cause they have smaller dbs that play softer.

Like most of us, I'd rather see the Bolts. That said, they're going to really have to bring there A game to beat the Colts. The defense will have to step it up and I really think that Gates will have to play for them to have a shot. Just my 2 cents worth.

I wouldn't mind seeing SD come here too, but there's no way that Philip Rivers goes into Indy and leads that team to victory.

Besides, the NFL really wants a championship weekend of Indy/Pats and Cowboys/Green Bay. And you know what? So do I. It would be 2 great "can't miss" football games.

I think the Bolt's defense is playing much better than they were when the Pats played them last. I think they're a tougher matchup for the Pats offense than Indy's faster, but smaller defense.

However, it's no contest when it comes to the other side of the ball. If Marvin's healthy, the Colts will be a tall order for the Pats defense.

Btw, did anyone notice LT did not want to go back in last week's game against the Titans near the end after he had taken so many bruising hits.

The game was mostly in hand, but he called to be taken out, and never put back on his helmet, or looked interested in getting back in. Methinks he might be ......... wait for it.......... 'made of glass?'

That doesn't even take into consideration weather factors (? any potential storms) that might force them to fly in earlier.....
