this article really gives a feel for just how driven players on the patriots are to win. It seems to me that BB isn't only looking for great players, with great talent and great smarts -- this makes it seem like his ideal player also has to want to win just as much as he does.

The list of players on the patriots like that is astounding. Honestly, i bet there are a dozen players with that kind of world class talent, super smarts, and above it all. they want to win.

i wonder how that is scouted? I suspect is it. I suspect it is a part of the edge the patriots bring to the table when a team comes in with their level of talent (san diego last year for example) -- they want to win more. "the want it" "they're hungry" you hear those phrases all the time -- but when i read this article, i got a feel for just what that means.

Great, great article.

They are not invincible, just unbeaten. And there is a reason. The Patriots combine talent with brains and, most importantly, enormous heart better than anyone else in the NFL. I actually believe that if the game were tied on the last play and the Great Flood were instantly unleashed and covered the field, Brady would will himself to walk on water and Moss' hands would rise up out of the torrents to snare the Championship pass.
