Default hypothetical trade scenario: Larry Fitzgerald or Tamba Hali?

I see a lot of people clamoring for either Larry Fitzgerald or Tamba Hali on a couple different threads.

Hypothetically if they both could be had for our 1st and our 3rd this year would you make the trade for one of them, go after someone else or solely depend on the draft and free agency?

I'd trade for Hali in a heartbeat. He's exactly the kind of player this defense needs.

I'd probably do it for Hali or Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald would add a lot to the offense, and we would still have two picks in the top 33 which could boost our OL.

Hali is the type of player worth drafting in the first round, minus the risk and development factor. He is certainly worth a first round pick and then some.

Both are going to want big money extensions.

I can't decide.
Both.
Split the picks to next year.

For Hali, I'd consider it.

I keep reading Fitzgerald would be a huge upgrade to our offense, but I don't know. For one thing, Tom doesn't have the arm to throw deep consistently to Fitzgerald. He'd be great on jump balls though.

But I can't imagine Fitzgerald improving the #1 offense more than the impact those picks would have on our D if we drafted a stud DE/OLB, or got Hali. Fitzgerald could improve a strength, while Hali would improve a weakness. The impact would be bigger.

I would rather see them use the 17th and another pick. hopefully one of the 3rds to move up in the first round to get Von Miller from Texas A&M. He is a monster.

The only way I would make that trade would be if the player signed an extension with the Pats. Hali is a free agent and will probably be frachised. Fitzgerald has one year left on his contract I believe, he would have to sign an extension to make it worth doing.
