I love the attention span of some fans..Remember 45-3?
Do people watch entire games or do they just see the final score? Had Crump held on to that pass, the entire flow of the game would have changed.
That game was an anomaly. If you look at all the other games versus Rex's defense, they all show a consistent trend.

Maybe you should take over BOBs job and be Belichick's consultant,it appears to me that you think your plan would have won the game
Let's be honest here...no matter what the Patriots had devised in that game the Jets D would have countered it and stopped them...the Jets were not going to lose that game,it was in the cards and Ryan beat the Pats game plan with a massive thump.
Only Sanchez's pathetic passes to the turf instead of wide open receivers kept that game from being a 20+ point win
Next time it might change and BB and his staff plan and perform better.
Sorry but I have to diagree. Football is ALOT like combat. You have one plan going in but you have to be ready to switch gears quickly. The reason I am still alive is that while in Afganistan I would often change our tactics in the face of the enemy. I needed to keep them guessing. Attack when they thought we would fall back. Fallback and attack from a different position when they thought we would go straight in.
The problem that I see is that this offense only knows one thing. Tom passing the ball. If the Pats came out and ran the ball Ryan would be forced to make changes quickly. Our OC (BOB) is in over his head. Have you looked at his experience. There is a huge difference between college football and the pros.
Last year we got rid of Pees becuase he was clueless. BOB is clueless and we need an experienced OC. This team needs to go back to a balanced attack. Brady has the records its time to go back to winning the SB.
The D does not Blitz. We could use Zone blitzes and we should also consider going to 4-3 on the fly.
LOL, hold on to 45-3 all you want, it's all you've got. It means nothing. But, if it helps you get through the day, keep that memory alive.
You could say that the whole season means nothing as far as 2010 and the SB are concerned.. Every win...Every loss
But there is nothing wrong with going back and looking at each game and taking somthing away from it..
Thats why the professionals look at film!
As far as THIS thread is concerned I think its very relevent.. You can't call out our QB and team and say the jets have their number... when the two wins the Jets had came on either side of a 45-3 LOSS!
As far as I am concerned.... 45-3 the Jets were out-coached! Our most recent loss... we were out played! Just watch the game...

True. We arent 6-7 Tds better than the Jets, thats just life, we arent. Usually when we play the Jets, its a close loss or a 1-2 TD score more than them in a win.
Maybe I wasn't right in asking if they have Brady's number but Rexy sure knows how to give Brady fits and confuse him. I have to give him credit for that. I havent seen Brady look so confused in a long time. He had no clue where the pressure was coming from and started getting frustrated.

You were watching a different game than I was. That's for sure. The pressure wasn't confusing Brady, he just couldn't throw into the coverages.
Brady was holding the ball for a long time, hell the Jets didn't even blitz him much, a couple DBs off the edge a few times, that's it. Most of the time those were coverage sacks. Brady had plenty of time to throw the ball.
Guess what, when the defense goes light and sends so many men into the zones, you have options. Like abandoning the empty set. The Jaguars did the same thing to Brady in the playoffs a few years back.

Could be, but either way Brady struggles with this style of defense and it can be cause for concern. You can't just look at one game where we dismantled them and use that as a measuring stick, it was one game.
Lets beat the Jets 2 times straight, at this point lets just beat the jets more times then they beat us and I'll be happy. They are up by 1 game.

Ryan and Ratgini dream about the Patriots more than they dream about sex (even foot sex). Ryan even admits he plans for the Patriots.
With two coaches in the league obsessed with game planning against our team all year, we went 14-2 with a team full of rookies, 2nd year players and street free agents and beat one of those coaches 45-3 in a rematch.

I can live with that.
I can agree with this, I loved this season. I couldnt complain as I mentioned in the other thread. This was really a transition season and we went 14-2. We have next year. We'll be back.
And yes, I'm sure they do plan for us, they have to but I have to give them credit because they have seemed to plan the best against our team.

Like I said, it's not like Brady hasn't faced this kind of defense multiple times. You think Ryan is the first to use it? In past years, the Patriots have faced this same type of defense and ripped it apart.
