Default Browns might file a grievance against the Colts

Quote:
Tennessee quarterback Kerry Collins said on WFAN Radio on Thursday that the Titans kneeled at the end of the game Sunday because they knew the Colts wouldn't call a timeout.
If true, the Cleveland Browns could possibly file a grievance alleging collusion, which is against NFL rules. The Browns would have made the playoffs if the Titans had lost.

"I have to congratulate the Titans and I think it is a feather in the cap of our division to get three teams in the playoffs,” Dungy said,

MSNBC News

Their goal was to have 3 teams from the same division into the playoffs

Or NaPolian wanted his good friend, whom he shares a seat with on the dubious Competition Committee, to make the playoffs.

I hope this has legs. That was a pretty ghetto move by Dungy to not call TO. Just think of the children!

But look at it from Indy POV -- who would you rather have in the playoffs: a plucky Browns team that can put up points; or a team that could BARELY win a game you were trying to intentionally lose.

By the precedent set by Goodell take a First rounder.

Don't have one ?

Take a First next year, and the year after too!

Afer all, its only fair and consistent with precendent. And oh, don't forget the fine(s).

From Colts standpoint, benefit of Titans making it are: 1) If they play well and beat SD, they wouldn't have to play SD and they'd have the physical/dirty Titans soften up/injure Patriots in the divisional round or 2) If they lose to SD, they play physical/dirty with SD and soften up/injure SD players and would then play a weakened SD at Indy. Not saying this is what happened but there is possible motive.

Apparently the Titans could have also went for a field goal instead and the Colts would have been down by 9 ... buch of sour grapes to me. you have all season to make the playoffs. Then, your season comes down to someone else losing a game ... if that's the case you don't belong in the playoffs anyways.

well said, maybe beating a pathetic Cincinnati team, would have been a much better option then to lose to them and hope the colts do you a favor and beat the titans...

The browns haven't said they are going to, this is getting drummed up by the media again. All they are saying is that the browns COULD file a grievance. It doesn't say they DID or WILL. I think this is how half this stuff starts...I'm not singling you out, but people just don't read.

Wow, not so great at reading comprehension, are we? This is a Patriots board, not a Browns board. They're the ones with the complaint. We're just pointing and laughing at you. Aren't you used to it yet?
