Re: NESN:Pats loss would be worse than SB upset
Totally agree. Losing today would be worse. We'd have to endure at least one more week of bloviation.
The SB loss was earned by the Patriots coaches and players. Poorly prepared for the Giants up the middle blitzkreig and slow to adjust. The Giants were well prepared, smart game plan and executed on the field. Pats put themselves in a position where misplays (missed INT, failure to take down Eli...) and a fluke catch could screw the pooch. Lost to the better team that day.
Unlike the class Giants org, the Jets epitomize everything wrong, starting at the top and drooling down all over the entire misbegotten enterprise. Losing today would be wimping out to the loudmouth bully. Time to punch out his lights.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH
