Default Same Old Jets, They Haven't Improved

Same Old Jests as in they haven't improved. The jests team Now is the pretty much the same team that started out in the beginning of the season, they haven't gotten markedly better as the season has gone on. The Pats on the other hand have, and decidedly so.
Both the Offense and Defense have gotten much better since the start of the season, the same can't be said for the Jests IMO. I am not worried about beating them on Sunday, starting to think that the december beat down was indicative of the difference between the two teams......Thoughts

You don't have to be a detective to figure out why. Watch Sound FX or many programs during the week and you'll see how Rex Ryan believes you coach a team. To him, you get all of your talent in the offseason and then spend the season talking about how great you are. After the Jets squeaked by teams like the Texans and Broncos, he was quick to celebrate and tell them how great they are, and then boast that they are the best team in the NFL.

On the contrary, not sure if anyone saw the Patriots locker room after their win over the Packers. It was somber; the players looked like they'd lost the game. Belichick basically told them they are finished if they play like that again.

And this, folks, is the reason why the Jets were the better team at the beginning of the year, and the Patriots are the better team now.

Interesting statistic on Mark Sanchez:

First 5 Games: 8 TD Passes, 0 Interceptions
Last 11 Games: 9 TD Passes, 13 Interceptions

Mark Sanchez versus the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Wildcard Round:

0 TD Passes, 1 Interception (01/08/11)

The downward spiral continues for Mark Sanchez.

Yep. Defenses have adjusted and he hasn't.

The intellectual insight from Jets fans is lacking, as usual.

Here's another gem on Sanchez.

What do Sanchez, Massaquoi and Randle El all have in common?

They've all thrown 1 TD in the last six games.

Whats even sadder than that are my memories of living in Southie back in the late '90s, walking around in a Chrebet Jersey and not getting any grief because nobody really cared about the Pats. I almost felt bad for Pete Carroll, Drew Bledsoe, and the rest of the fellas....I think Patriot Football was located somewhere in the collective conscience of Boston somewhere between BC Football and the Pawtucket Sox.

You had two dynamics going on back then

One- Tuna was coaching the Jets. At that point in time, he walked on water here- even after he left. In 1998 and even 1999, the Jets were a better run organization than the Pats. I know I was a bit jealous.

Two- By 1998 and 1999, folks were resigned to the fact that the Pats were in decline. The sentiment against Pete Carroll was swelling.

Not sure about what others say but Chrebet was a helluva player.
