I just hope the Pats are fully prepared for the onside kick. I wouldn't doubt at all if Rex tries one because of desperation. In fact I fully expect it on their first kickoff.

Not to begin the game, or the half ... Connelly's return skills have removed this as a viable option in most cases.
Overtime is a different story. With the new OT rules, if the kicking team recovers an onside kick, the receiving team loses its one guaranteed possession. The kicking team essentially "regains" possession, and can win with a field goal. If the kicking team doesn't recover, they are still guaranteed a possession unless they let the offense drive for a touchdown.
If any of the playoff games goes into overtime, I think we'll see an onsides kick at the onset of OT with the new rules.
