Default Semi-OT: Entire Ravens coaching staff let go

Quote:
OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Brian Billick never came close to duplicating the success he enjoyed early in his career as head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, and it finally cost him his job.

Billick was fired Monday, less than 24 hours after his team concluded a season of high expectations with a disappointing 5-11 record. His entire staff, including defensive coordinator Rex Ryan, also was dismissed.
Rex Ryan will be considered for the Baltimore job (his twin Rob was the Patriots' LB coach a few years back).

While I'm not saying I'd hire him to the Pats staff, I'd at least kick the tires, seeing as he knows a little bit about working with some of the Pats' LBs. And maybe he'd bring Ed Reed with him.

Rex would be overqualified to be a LB coach, someone would have to snap him up as a DC - unless the Timeout he called makes people look the other way

On occasion you can get a guy like that like Rivera in SD this year, and the Ryans do have a connection to us with Rob - but it's still a longshot.

Parcells will no doubt be interviewing Ryan tomorrow.
