The "Wade Phillips" factor just might rear it's ugly head in the playoffs for the Cowgirls. Dallas is clearly the most talented and best team in the NFC, but I would be awfully worried if I was a Cowboys fans if the game was tight in the 4th quarter and Bum's son had to make adjustments and tough decisions. We've seen it time and time again in the playoffs with teams that play not to lose instead of playing to win because of head coaches that can't perform under pressure. Look at all of Marty's teams that bowed out early.

i see no one who can play w the Cokeboys when they are on. which they will be. the Packers are pretenders. and the rest are the B team.
we better get emotionally ready for a frickin battle in Phoenix against a VERY GOOD team. (after having to beat the defending champ colts again) it wont be like playing the Grossman-led Bears, last year.
wishing for anything less, is just that, wishful thinking.
I don't buy that at all. The NFC is wide open and when was the last time two #1 seeds met in the superbowl?

I think Seattle takes care of Washington this weekend....and if not...agree with your above post.....Cowpokes when playing all out will beat Washington.......Guys remember....this is a 9-7 football team....that backed into the playoffs......don't crown em yet Denny Green!!!!
Portis the best back in the league? He's not even the best in his division, certainly not the best in the conference.
I'll be surprised if it's not GB or Dallas
i disagree...i watched portis play, and he is an EXCEPTIONAL back to say the least....defenetely in the running for the best in teh NFL....i would LOVE to have him here....but we have LoMo soo too bad for me...
and i see the skins making it to the NFCCG....by beating the boys in round 2....but there is where their run ends against the pack

If we're fortunate enough to get there after all this faux-perfect season celebration, I could see us facing an NFC team no one is talking about: The Washington Redskins.
After their loss to the Bills in the wake of the Taylor murder, they rattled off 4 straight victories against some decent teams:
- Bears who played better in 2nd half and were still in contention when Skins played them
- Giants with serious playoff implications at stake for them
- Vikings in a game that would likely determine which team went to the playoffs
- and in their last game of the season they outplayed Cowboys starters in the 1st half
They go on the road to play Seattle and I think this could be their toughest game. If their next game is against Dallas I could see them beating them. I also think their aggressive defense beats Packers too (see Bears 2 weeks ago @ Lambeau.)
Looking at the Skins team they have a lot of talent:
- Collins is an upgrade over injured Campbell
- Santana Moss has re-established himself as one of the league's big play threats with Collins
- Portis is the best all-around back in the league
- Skins are one of the few teams that effectively use a full back
- Williams defense is designed to pressure the passer
- they are playing inspired ball for their fallen team mate Sean Taylor
I'd still see us winning a rematch with them, although I think they're a better team than the one we whipped during regular season.

I'm not sure about that. Look at the teams Collins has faced: Chicago, NYG, Minnesota, Dallas. Minnesota's weakness is pass defense. NYG and Chicago are mediocre against the pass. Dallas wasn't playing for anything and Washington caught them in a slump.

You mean that defense that sacked Brady a grand total of ONE time. Brady torched their secondary (29/38 for 306 yards, 3 TD's, 0 INT's and he was pulled in the 4th qtr) and also Maroney had a pretty good game too (14 rushes for 75 yards, 2 catches for 37 yards) even though he was coming off his groin injury.

If the Skins can some how win Saturday I can definitely see them giving the Cowboys a game to the bitter end. They're playing good football right now.The only thing I really care about is my Pats winning the ultimate prize on Super Sunday. The Pats have already made a delicious sundae. All they've to do now is put the whipping cream & cherry on top.
Serioiusly, does anybody think the Skins can beat the Cowboys in a meaningful game? I like what Todd Collins is doing, but they would have to play in Dallas.
Anything is possible. That *would* be a kick in the balls to a very good Dallas team.
